Summer Transfer Window

I think there’s better options than Mcburnie and we should be aiming higher

Like someone above mentioned he’s been poor since leaving us and on a downward spiral in his final few playing seasons

Similiar situation with us resigning Allen, Bony, Ayew it hasn’t worked out with us in the past.
I thought Ayew was better second time round

Nothing wrong with Ayew's play for us the second time around, it was signing him for a big fee and big wages in a desperate attempt to avoid relegation. Once that failed, the fee and the wages especially helped hamstring us financially at a time when parachute payments should have given us a great chance of going straight back up. Thanks again Huw.

That's because they are expensive if proven.
We maybe able to afford the odd one but loans will.usually be PL.players.

The permenants will.mostly be from.league one or two.
Scottish players or from abroad.
I would always prefer McBurnie to a Scottish player or one from abroad - Oh wait a minute!!!

Am I the only only one who thinks this whole McBurnie saga is quite possibly his agent letting the club know that he is keen. Whether the club is is a very different matter.

To be honest, although certainly better than we have at the moment, his age and his record over the past few years coupled with his supposed wage expectations, mean, for me, we could probably find someone who’d suit us more. One thing I think would be positive is his level of enthusiasm on the pitch. He’d drag players along with him. I just worry that he will have lost some of that energy he had given he is not in his early twenties any longer.

I suspect we will sign him IF our other targets don’t materialise and IF he’s still without a club at that point. I think it likely that we will enter the loan market for our first choice centre forward. Which makes sense in some ways if we think Wales is the longer term answer.

I always liked McBurnie though I must admit. Liked his personality on the pitch as well as his play.
