The ones that corroborated the Hunter Biden emails showed their faces and made public statements.


Which ones do you think would stand up better in a court of law?

Presumably you'd be happy to see someone convicted on the basis of anonymous sources and hearsay while dismissing sworn evidence.

The Lincoln Project has the main objective of getting inside Trump’s head, to make him seem unbalanced and incoherent. Their targeted senate ads are really vicious.

To post anything in that thread is like trying to muzzle a rabid dog. But look at things that have gone down in the last few months;

2. Tax. Whether this is crooked or not it’s shows Trump in a poor light either avoiding tax or business incompetency
3. The market has swung to Trump. Briefly.
Never mentioned the swing back. At the moment hovers around Biden 1.5, Trump 3.0. Or 67% probability of a Biden win. Though this is influenced by more support for
Trump
4. Polls. These will underestimating Trump but projective models which take this into account with multiple iterations of a model (20k in the Economist And 40k by Nate Silver) put Trump at best a 1 in 8 chance of winning. Of course that is not to say we won’t
5. The Hunter Biden affair. In the words of Nathan Silver it’s been seen as a ‘nothingburger’, as a rather crude smear. There may be truth in it, but it is playing only to an audience of his supporters

As I and others see this Trump has run the same campaign as last time with poorer support (no Bannon) and the Democrats much better prepared and with more money for advertising in the swing states this week. Trump may yet win and I expect more smears this week, but equally there may be a few smears on him. The upswing of Covid in the US Is a factor. Trump needs to project to beyond his core support to win and I am not sure he can.

Trump is going to win but he’s going to do it with the help of the Supreme Court. The voters don’t matter in this one, they just don’t know it yet. People like Tummer are already primed to cover for a full dictatorial takeover. “Yeah democracy just died but can you imagine how triggered the libs are right now.”

Policy doesn’t matter because they’ll gladly oppose the very thing they were supporting 5 minutes ago if that’s what Trump tells them. Trump ran to the left of Hilary in 2016 but 4 years later he still hasn’t produced a health plan. He says all the right words though about socialised medicine and protecting pre existing conditions. If they are willing to vote for a president to take away their health coverage in the middle of a global pandemic then frankly they deserve what’s coming to them.

Global pandemic, deep recession, millions jobless, and the far right GOP think the biggest story of the election is a laptop they claim Hunter Biden left in Delaware. It’s “her emails + pizzagate” because the GOP base and Q anon are now synonymous. Throw in some white supremacist militias and some Fox News brain rot mouth breathers and you’ve got yourself a voting block!

You paint a very bleak picture, Acey.

As a country they’ve always regressed when the white man got his back up. In 1870 the first black senator was sworn into congress, and another 5 years later. What followed was nearly a century of murder, rape, and domestic terrorism on the black community before another black senator was elected in 1967. It’s no coincidence that the most racist President in 50 years was elected immediately after the first non white President.

As a country they haven’t reckoned with their own racist history, because white Americans would rather believe racism ended with the civil rights act. But civil rights weren’t a gift from whites to blacks, they had to fight, riot and die for them until they got what they were promised at the end of the civil war. All year black cities have burned in protest against the deep seeded racism and Americans like tummer will happily absolve themselves because this is just examples of criminals looting and rioting. Racism can’t exist because we don’t have any racist laws anymore, Ben Shapiro told me see. Black people just need to work harder and riot less if they want to succeed. Forget that of the nearly 2000 senators elected in the republics history, only 10 have been black, they need to drop the victim mentality and get on with living the American dream.

Trump has run an openly racist campaign, he’s telling white supremacist militias to “stand by”, he’s praised murderous autocrats around the world and he’s leant heavily into authoritarianism. He’s already refused to accept the result if he loses and he will have the support of his base and the Supreme Court at every step, regardless of what the majority of American voters have to say.

So when you compare the USA today and it’s direction of travel to its own history, there’s only one way I see it going I’m afraid and it paints a bleak picture.

It won’t make a difference. Trump and his base know they don’t have a popular mandate for any of their ideas or policies so the number of votes Biden gets will just be window dressing.

They delegitimised Clinton’s whopping popular vote margin by saying 3 million people voted illegally. If Biden wins by 10 million they’ll just do the same. They didn’t need evidence then and they won’t need evidence now, they just need the Supreme Court.

People have come out in public and corroborated stories about Trump, but he denies it and you choose to take his word over theirs. Or do you believe Stormy Daniels? Do you believe the other women who've gone on the record about how Trump treated them? What about the woman who gave evidence against Trump's last Supreme Court pick?

Don't bother answering, we know you'll shift the goalposts to justify it in your warped mind. Trump supporters like to go on about TDS, but the way they always manage to exonerate him for everything he does shows they are the ones suffering from it.
