All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Thank you though for all the memories

I stopped putting food out over winter (I've since learned that was the wrong thing to do) and since restarting in March the birds aren't touching the food. They very slowly make their way through the sunflower hearts, but haven't gone near the fat balls, suet or peanuts. Have they all starved to death over winter? 
The fat balls situation has always been weird though. They were demolishing mine last summer, but my parents who live about 20 metres away had no takers whatsoever. Edit - same brand of fat balls too, in fact they all came from the same box as we bought in bulk

There is an inevitable drop in numbers over Winter, and so many of the birds that used to use your feeders last year will have karked it. Therefore, your new supply of food will take some time to be adopted again. Siting is quite important as well. I recently moved my feeder from a lawn location to amongst some established bushes, and the birds seem to much prefer it due to the extra cover from Sparrowhawks or other predators. As for brand preference I cannot say I've noticed particular preference, but they do seem to like everything from the 'Peckish' brand O get from Tesco.
