• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Sitting in the lounge just now chillin. Watching the feeder rig and thinking that when the pigeons come and go it’s like living near the airport.

Saw this photo of a painted bunting and it’s incredible.

Incredible! Another that looks like it's been coloured in by a 5 year old armed with a pack of fluorescent felt tips!

The southern giant petrel pic
Bit different that

Was just coming out of the garage earlier today ( I say garage, it's more like a lockable skip tbh), and I heard a commotion from near our bird feeders and when I investigated, saw this female Sparrowhawk had stopped by for lunch. Sadly, the victim was one of our regular and very welcome Great Spotted Woodpeckers who nest near here.

Thank you Mutey, it came out well considering it was through glass.

Yes, disappointed about the woodpecker, both adults have been daily regulars at our feeders and bring a glorious splash of colour every visit. We had a whole family there one time last year but that may not happen this year now one of the adults is no more.:-(
