That’s good to read, I was only saying this afternoon how few Swallows there are about this summer.Vetchfielder said:There's a swallow's nest in our porch and they've started fledging today. They're all over the place.
Amazingly, this nest has held SIX baby swallows - 3 left today, 3 still in the nest thinking about it.
Three is the most we've had in any one brood over the years, so six is astonishing.

BLAZE said:Same distance from house, though mine is next to a high fence whilst there's is more out in the open. The birds eat the sunflower hearts from their feeder btw, just not the fat balls. No noise or light differences. My garden is south facing, theirs is north facing
