Just to wrap this Bearded Vulture/Lammergeier saga up, the plucky girl departed East Sussex for France on the 15th October (after one aborted attempt) so hopefully she makes her way back to her friends in the Alps. Bon voyage!

Nice pic. Interesting colour scheme! If anything looks like it's been dipped in yellow paint though, it has to be a Little Egret's feet! Never understood that, a pure white bird with a black beak and black legs and ........ yellow feet?

They do like hiding in trees. I saw this young Night Heron fly over my car in Spain a couple of years ago so I stopped and watched where it landed. Would have definitely never known it was there otherwise. :lol:
