Given the excessive number of midfield players we have and rumours of adding to them knowing super Russ he will get one of them to play up front as he likes playing players out of position..Downes as CB for example...maybe he fancies his mate Korey Smith up front because he has been ineffective in midfield

If he does go out on loan, the Whitaker loan move makes even less sense unless, as you say, there will be incomings.

Liam Cullen has joined Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season. Maybe good that him and Whittaker are playing together, could benefit us next season.
