The Summer Transfer Window Thread

Kamara a very odd player - Portsmouth fans utterly raved about him and were gutted to not sign him when they went up in 23/24. Hull spent something like £6m on him, and he appears to have done absolutely fuck all there.

Wonder which one we get
5 in 38 as a winger..

Better than I expected. Had a quick look on Reddit, as that's where I'd seen most of the Hull critics, and seems like he had a woeful start to the season in terms of effort and performance, and then tuned in a bit from January on

I’ve gone from being a child of Championship Manager, knowing every single detail of every player on Planet Earth, to a middle aged man who hasn’t heard of a single player mentioned in this transfer window….. including Adam Idah and Newcastle’s £70m German signing.
Same here, but i try to buy the new edition every year, I win the PL and continental trophy with Swansea and learn a bug of names as a bonus.

Reading the article about him, didn’t know he had a controversial issue online celebrating Portsmouths win against us. 🤣

Dolberg who Celtic want is now wanted by Ajax so I guess it’s holding it up.
Celtic certainly seem like a very difficult club to deal with they are doing the same with Birmingham allowing a player to have a medical and agree terms then not sanctioning the deal

I saw that. Up in arms because he celebrated a win for the team he used to play for after making a big mistake earlier in the day for Hull. I think football fans forget that it's a job for the players and the majority of them aren't going to be miserable like the fans when they lose.

I've got to say, it does feel like the recruitment team have been very thoughtful as to what we actually need rather than just getting players in positions required.

E.g

- we were desperate for another leader at cb whose left footed - burgess
- desperate for a battling number 6 with height and power - stamenic
- right winger who's left footed - likely kamara

Etc

If we manage to get deadwood Cooper out this window as well then it HAS to go down as one of/the best since relegation. Cullen next and its a dream window.
Hate the arrogance of referring to one of our local players as "deadwood". None of us would like to be sacked from our jobs if the boss said "you're just deadwood". It shows no respect at all.

Swansea City 🦢v Hull City 🐯
