I went on Twitter and tweeted what I thought was an excellent tweet to a twit I thought, but then I realised that perhaps my tweet to a twit wasn’t quite as I thought, a tweet to a twit, but moreover a tweet from a twat to what I assumed to be a twit. In the long run I think what I thought was a twit turned the the tables on the twat with a tweet and I’m now both a twit and a twat. I think!

The best social media platform out there. It's a bit like facebook, but for grown ups.

You are probably seeing retweets and adverts, just turn them off.

Be selective in who you follow.

Absolutely, give yourself a little bit of time to understand how it works and you'll love it, nothing like a little patience.........

A few months ago I signed up for Twitter, and all I am seeing is stupid stuff where you have to scrawl through dozens of posts that you aren't interested in. I'm happy to ignore them but they make the posts that I'm interested in more difficult to find. Can I get rid of them or blank them, or is that the price that you pay for using something that's free?

So you’re seeing dozens of posts you aren’t interested that you followed in the first place?
Makes sense to someone I suppose.
No Darran, it's just lots of adverts showing for example 100 slides about something or other. Makes your tweets harder to find! I'm not especially bothered, just wondering if everyone gets them, or if I need to use an ad blocker.

But on the positive side, the Benjamin Bloom channel on Twitter has posted a discussion about how the Swans are doing as part of his survey of the Championship teams, with input from Amy Clement 94. I've always been impressed by Benjamin Bloom's knowledge of each team.

Google it.

I could tell you easily how to do it, but I would rather let you find out for yourself.

I'm just about done with this internet rubbish, nothing against you, but it it 's such a puzzlement why you choose not to ask the people trying to help you, you ignore that, and go straight back to Darren, it's weird. Also you were not very concise in the first post..

Comes across to me as no manners, I would just reply back to the people trying to help. not someone taking the pee. Anyway GOOGLE IT.

Sincere thanks for taking the time to respond - your advice didn't apply in my case but it will be useful for other people reading this, and I do appreciate that you took the time to answer what is a trivial question. It's not really a problem, and I was just interested if it happened to everyone else. And I replied to Darran, not because he was taking the proverbial but because he is the only one here that I follow on Twitter, so far, not that we've ever met. And moving on, I hear that twitter and facebook are now thought to be old fashioned, and everyone is on Instagram (God help us).

Twitter is by far the best social media platform out there once you get the hang of it. Join in with the Swans twitter crowd and you’ll pick up on loads of Swans goss long before it appears on here (unless of course you want an exclusive on when our manager is about to be sacked 😉)

That's fair enough, and pay no attention to me moaning, I'm a grumpy twa* at times, anyway what you should do on these advert tweets, you will see 3 dots to the right of the time posted, click it, then I don't like this ad, then it's not relevant to me, just keep doing that, and hopefully you will see hardly any adverts, that's what I done, and I get hardly any.

You can read Twitter without signing up to it which I have never done so my main viewing of it are usually via one of darrans link which on the whole are funny and amusing
