• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It involves mincemeat then. I thought it was pieces of beef not actual minced beef?
You can do it with chunks of braising steak, but by the time you’ve cooked it low and slow for a few hours it will resemble pulled or minced beef.

Minced beef has got shite added to it and that's what gives me the hurry up, saying that rich sauce and baked beans does that, 😂

Come on, Max! Get yourself down to your local butcher, if they are a good one they will mince you some fresh, straight off the slab. If they are an excellent butcher they will even leave out the laxatives!

This week, I am mostly drinking a lovely crisp white wine from the Rueda region, La Luna, made with a blend of verdejo and viuda grapes, bought in our local Aldi for 1.79€ a bottle. And not to show bias, I went to Lidl and bought a case of six of this oak aged Navarra red from 2018 at 1.58€ a bottle. Criminal, isn't it?

FAO Max: made this again last night. Cooked it low and slow all afternoon and by 9pm it was absolutely banging. Best one I’ve ever made.
Had a busy couple of hours yesterday afternoon at parents house, popped to the Eagle for a Guinness on way home with the Mrs then went and picked a curry up and I'd just finished it as the Liverpool v Villa game kicked off

What curry did you have?
