Assuming Cooper, Naughton and Cabango would be your three centre backs? Bold move.
Even if we signed Laird tomorrow or Friday I can't see RM throwing him straight in after one at the most training session...

Think they looked very comfortable last night albeit against a weakened side but they all passed it very comfortable and looked composed, I think Cooper should be given a run in the team.

With regards to Laird, Paterson was thrown straight into the game against Blackburn I believe he had 2 sessions with the team, Laird has worked with Martin so will know what he wants straight up, and has been keeping match fit playing for Uniteds U23s although that talk of him coming here has gone very quiet.

I'm actually looking forward to a game for the first time in a long while.

Take a point, but it's winnable.

Gonna be strange. Sat night/Stoke then the Brizzles....waited so long to see us 'live '....then 3 in a week.
Vocal chords be well n truly fckd.

8 pm. I hate Sky.

Me too. I decided about 18 months ago that I was done with evening games but this will actually be the first one since then. Getting too old for driving 100+ miles home and getting into bed after midnight, takes me too long to get over. A bit like injuries, a small knock that I'd have got over in a few days 20 years ago, now takes a few weeks. Mind you, I made that decision during the Cooperball era and missing the odd game seemed quite appealing tbh.

Be surprised if Sheffield lose this, they were unlucky last week, jokanovic teams usually come back strong after a defeat, we will do well to get a draw, mcburnie will score probably, ex players always seem to, lets hope its an own goal

I think Bidwell will start as he is playing well. If Piroe starts we may see Lowe on the right. Grimes, Benda, Cabango, Naughton start. Williams had a good game but I imagine Downes sp. will start. Three slots up for grabs.

Interesting that Janko has not been favouring McB and Brewie.

Will be a close game.

Home win.

Hope he gives Whittaker a start. Cooper must have hit his confidence by being overlooked regularly. Hope RM see's something in him to give him game time.

Honestly can't see Sheffield United doing any better than a play off spot this season, perhaps not even that, anyhow, tough game tonight, hopefully we'll see more of the purposefully possession that we saw 2nd half at Blackburn and at Reading.
RM has got us going on the right track and will need time to get "word perfect" it's eyes down for a creditable draw for me tonight. yjb
