• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Sounds like he threw his toys out the pram and demanded the move as we all thought.
Sounds that way.

Alot of the players clearly feel they have been let down by him.
Giving the big talk to Cabango to sign a contract only to go on his merry little way a few weeks later.

Looks like he has acted like a right snake.

More will come out on that farewell story, I'm sure, but if that is anywhere near the truth that's extremely interesting, and suggests two possibilities:

  1. Several players were upset at their captain leaving them in the lurch mid season, and they were pouting with him.
  2. Many were actually quite glad to see the back of him, and couldn't give a toot that he's going.
If it's somewhere nearer 2, then this might just be the making of us.

We are going to be a very interesting watch over the next half a dozen games. It's the shake up I think we needed.
If it is then it would really explain a lot that has happened at the club in the last few years.

Would Coleman have put that to press if he thought we'll of Grimes is the question?

These guys leave these little things in their stories rather than put the actual truth or what they think.

He was never an inspiration leader. Why are we surprised that he is actually a poor excuse for a captain.

IIRC, he was a better player under Potter before he was given the armband for Cooper's first season when he appeared to go into his shell and never came out.

He got given the armband by Cooper, but as soon as Ayew came in from the cold it was obvious who the leader of that team was for the next two years. Maybe he just never adapted after that. Maybe with Russy blowing smoke up his arse he never realised that he had to.

Never healthy for one player to have so much 'power' at a club.
He wasn't Keane at Man Utd FFS.
Let's see if this loosens the shackles of the rest of the team, now we no longer have to complete 6000 tippy tappy passes every game

BBC article says transfer would need to be completed by midday tomorrow for Grimes to be able to play on Saturday. I would hope we won't be ready to sign off on the deal until 12:01 tomorrow at the earliest...

Cov fans acting up like he's making a mega move to a big club and going up this year..

Not so long a go I saw a game at Northampton where they had 3k crowd there.

If Coleman has got anything about him, tomorrow morning he'll have an emergency dental appointment to attend to, before resurfacing mid afternoon to sign the required paperwork.

I doubt anyone - other than Frank Lampard - really wants this done in time for Saturday.

I've heard that the club are deliberately delaying the paperwork so he can't play on Saturday :ROFLMAO:

It's such an obvious thing to do that I'm genuinely concerned we'll do the opposite considering how the club seems to be run these days.
