• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Crossed my mind earlier that it might have been a case of one of them, and Williams maybe pitched an idea of a more attacking Swansea without Grimes in it.
I know you say maybe. But, how the fuck could Williams pitch that ? Surely even the Yankee Doodle Dandy could see it was him who was implementing the system.

Being the "new boy" at Cov will be a bit of an eye opener for him, he's going to have to earn his place, no more shoe-in. Will be interesting to see how this pans out.
Also a whole fan base expecting great things, as he's " one of the best players in the division". when his 5th corner doesn't beat the first man, theyll quickly start to turn

Same Williams who has stated that we needed to vastly improve things after Portsmouth etc etc etc but nothing ever changed
Fair comment.

I can't see anyone else playing that Grimes role, a role that many on here have said is holding us back and Williams needs to sort it out.......that looks to have been sorted.

I really think it will be a bank of 2 in midfield actually playing in midfield.

To be honest with you, the way the inept bulb has picked teams and tactics this season, it could be anything. Might be like primary school with every cunt just chasing the ball.

He said the team will look different and they will have to evolve.
Team will function in a different way and pick the team around the players available.
Interesting comment. We’ll see how it translates on Saturday.

Will be very interesting to see on Saturday.

I will be amazed if there is a midfielder splitting the centre halves given I don't think anyone at the club is capable of doing it.
I really expect to see 2 holding midfielders with full backs now playing as full backs and holding their positions.

Its going to be interesting if he does this, seeing how it goes.

It doesn't say much about Williams that "playing to the strengths of the players available" wasn't the first effing thing he tried to do when he took the job.

Concrete evidence, if even more were needed, that to coaches like him the system is king.
