Captain Grimes on his way to Coventry City?

Dyer being involved in the transfer is another kick in the teeth
Far more twists to this entire tale to emerge very soon in a proper exposé 😉

Some of the posts on this thread are sadly way beyond twisted, bitter and incredibly uninformed, fair play. A handful of our beauts here have truly excelled at getting it so spectacularly wrong, as per.

Shame on some of our so-called fans nowadays, aye.

Far from it based on her social media postings

Enjoy your relocation 👍

It may never come out, and probably for the best, but I’ll just say players get togethers / charity work / donations / hospital visits / the list is long.

Those that think the players are shunning him just because of the timing of this move, are massively mistaken.

There’s a lot of “reading between the lines” going on the past week, which is mostly wide of the mark.

I think it's just a case that money has talked with Grimes.

Would think alot of players feel he has stuck a knife in their backs especially given that he delivered a speech to Cabango about why staying at the club was the best thing for him.

Sounds like the coin has flipped and they have seen the other side of a captain that they once thought was loyal.

It does seem strange his in-laws move to Swansea from Essex and he up sticks to the Midlands. Maybe it keeps a family footprint in area for when/if the Cov move goes tits up.

No one expected a bid for Grimes, least of all Grimes himself. Hence in in-laws move etc.
Then someone offers you much more money to move to a team managed by a great midfield player who might get more out of you than your current manager and your current club is in turmoil and freefall.
It's not a difficult decision all of a sudden.

Yeah, but managerially that's like swapping syphilis for gonorrhoea.

The most telling point for me is that none of our previous managers attempted to take him away when they left, says it all imo.

Anyway, Matt who?

You mean he’s not an axe-murdering paedo under cover from Cardiff? Nah, I’m not having that 🤣🤣

I’m sure most of it’s wide of the mark. He’s always struck me as a quiet but decent chap. He’s pretty well liked around here where he lives (not that I know him well). His family was very settled, so I believe his Mrs when she says it was unexpected. Fk knows what’s gone on. I suspect it’s been brewing for a few weeks as he’s not been on his game now for, what, something like 4-5 games?
