Can’t wait until we ‘miss out’ on an exciting replacement and Jay Fulton takes over his role for rest of the season.

Slightly controversial view, but Fulton can probably do more or less the same job Grimes has always done, just without the social media fuss.

I I'll put my neck out. He won't be putting up trees and Fulton loves a pass back. But he scores and can be aggressive at times. We need someone else of course. But anything other than Grimes. What's gonna happen? We lose 10-1 next weekend.

No offense to the visually impaired, but a blind man could stay in position more effectively than Fulton.

Rumours of Leyton Orient midfielder Ethan Galbraith. So this would make sense. I personally think they will have to bring someone in.

I do think there are better out there. Stats will tell you he is at the top in the championship. But I'll keep saying it. Where has that got us.

Definitely think there is better out there. But there's no evidence to suggest we'll find it. Which is my point of listing the players I did, I guess.

We knew Downes and Piroe would be a massive loss and hard to replace but I expect most of us hoped we'd improve on the likes of Manning, Latibeaudiere, Ntcham, etc... but we haven't got close to doing so.

I actually don’t think Grimes is impossible to replace. Maybe that’s controversial. I just don’t trust the owners to replace him at all let alone with someone half decent.

There was a time, long ago, lost to all but the farthest reaches of my memory, that I rated Fulton and thought he was better than Statty; offered more going forward and had more bite in midfield (often a bit too much bite....). If Grimes does go, I think it's nailed on that Fulton would replace him. Hopefully Jay remembers when we was decent as well...

We'll look to bring in a replacement to the squad for sure, but I doubt it will be to replace Grimes directly in the team; that'll be Jay and Joe, at least till the summer.
