• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Wow what a prick, no wonder he was invisible when Darling was given a red he doesn’t care.
All makes sense now. Sooner he is gone the better. We are giving teams goals away and I know Grimes cannot be solely his fault, he is the captain. And the ship has lost him. Even better I'll make him walk the plank.

Fair points. I would question Latibeaudiere. Personally not a fan, but I get your other points.

No - I thought he was crap too.

But we've essentially replaced him (a young full back/centre back) with Christie/Naughton. Which is a downgrade imo.

This is positive news...is losing him really going to make us weaker?.. our current set up is dreadful, dull and uninspiring and Grimes playing where and how he does it we can do without. He will have a big culture shock under Lampard who will expect him to cover more than 10 yards and mix it a bit.

Well... if he was going to be replaced with a dynamic and inspiring player then it wouldn't make us weaker.

If, however, he's replaced by someone more dull, more uninspiring and worse at football than him, then it will make us weaker.

For once we can use stats to evaluate Statty. How many non penalty goals, how many assists, how many tackles, how many key interventions, how many inspirational captaincy actions.

Fulton can easily replace him and might even be an upgrade in his proper position. Then get someone in to be a proper midfield partner for Franco. We’d need to replace the gnome faced f***er with Mr Blobby to do worse.

I quite like using the "WhoScored" website to see where players sit in average ratings and stats.

Grimes is currently 127 in the championship ratings. Franco (124), Darling (79) and Cabango (77) are all above him.

Grimes has 1 assist in 29 games...

And that was giving Burnley a ridiculous penalty?

'' The 29-year-old boasts impressive technical ability and his leadership makes him a vital figure as Swans captain. However, the availability he offers is the standout trait he possesses.''

The72 and BBC are saying such crap... Do they watch us?

I don't think anyone's mentioned another salient fact unless I missed it, but Grimesy is going to be 30 in July.
He is rapidly approaching his 'sell by' date, so if someone is offering 2.5 million for him, I'd grab it.
Not that I've got any confidence in our owners bringing in anyone half decent to replace him.

They are quoting his agent

Like Fulton you mean?

Fulton is an upgrade on nobody, he's a carthorse that shouldn't be anywhere near our first team squad. The fact he is shows how far we are going downhill.

Is this Galbraith any good?

To be honest I’ve been getting the feeling that behind the scenes Grimes is abit of an issue but that’s my feeling.
As I've posted before. He is arrogant. He thinks he is the big "I am" and the other players don't like him. He blatantly undermines Williams (not that would be too difficult as he's an imbecile). So, yep, he is an issue behind the the scenes. Add that too his dross performances. I know what I'd be trying to do
