• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Now we’re at the religion is a load of bollocks stage it’s long over time to leave. Zzzzzzzzzz

No person whatsoever, whether they be on the left or right, deserves to suffer violence let alone be killed for the beliefs they hold and express. Absolutely disgusting sentiments coming from the left over social media the last few days. It’s like the word ‘fascist’ has completely lost meaning. What could be more fascist than murdering someone because they hold different views from you and those who celebrate that death?
We live with this all the time.

It's a very very scary place to be with Loony Lefty Leaders casting they're dark shadows over our world.

This thread alone shows the Lefties all up for being irrational and scarily incoherent in their shouty dialogues.

Lol la Lolla

It's often convenient for people to hide behind "religious beliefs" in order to justify all manner of atrocious opinions and behaviours.
I ask as it was brought up about the rights and wrongs of abortion of a life conceived through rape. Kirk was asked a hypothetical question weather he believed it would be ok to have aborted. Based on his religion "he is against alll abortion".

Not quite. I believe he said he would have allowed exceptions for where the mother’s life was in danger. But no exceptions where the mother had conceived through rape. So not against all abortion. He was choosy.

Which of course many people of colour will agree with. How does this sit with the comrades on this thread? He takes a purist position on when life is formed. This is not evil. This is a viewpoint.

I don’t agree with this I think abortion should be legal personally but as I said earlier I do wonder whether there’s a debate to be had on the legal timeframe. But there are many safeguards in this Country so I do think we’re pretty much on the money.

In response to the religion comment. I just find it such a lazy opinion. It’s just the most cliched lacking in any thought viewpoint.

Take Ramadan. What a wonderful collective ideal that is. Amazing thing to do.

Nihilism what is there in that viewpoint? Is life just something that happens, literally zero meaning to any of it? I’m not even religious but I understand why people seek some spiritual understanding.

I apologise, you are correct. He did indeed say that in that situation the mothers life would be more important than the unborn child.

That isn’t the same thing though is it.

And no I’m not looking for an argument. It just isn’t.

Yes. I think that was the video, that came up on X yesterday, the question was 'if your daughter was raped, and got pregnant, would you agree, to terminate the pregnancy' or something like that, and he said 'No' the baby would be born.

Its a really tough question that, I'm anti abortion but in circumstances like that, what the hell do you say to people.

Should he be praised for standing up for and speaking out for "his views"? Or castrated for explaining his religious beliefs? 🤔

The “Christian” right in the US has so much in common with the Muslim fundamentalists that they apparently despise. Both hate gays, trans etc., both think women should be suppressed and reduced to baby farms.
They also love to cherry pick the bible to support their views but they don’t like the bits about helping the poor or loving their neighbour.
Christian my arse.

The vast majority of people would just bury their heads in the sand (unless it was their situation). Fair play to the likes of Kirk who are happy to diplomatically debate such issues. Surely discussing an issue is better than getting constant 5 sec snippets from left/right algorithms.
