Grimes

Whomever it is, they are clearly a lunatic.

Using unnecessary flamboyant words, trying to impress, and writing posts as if they're narrating a sky sports advert, just leads me to think they're trying bit too hard to get a rise.

If you add that to calling Grimes a "Leader of Men", when he's our most cowardly player, that hides as far back as possible (done it under the last 3 managers, so unlikely tactical) whenever we need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck, something which he has never done..... just suggests this poster is on a wind up.

On the Ignore list they go.
He spouts gibberish and should be banished to the BBC HYS site where all the other children play. On here, people may disagree with each other but accept the opinions of others.....until jackandabagofcoke comes along with his insults and , what he must think, trendy language. Pizzazz ffs.

There's not another player in the squad that could pull that pass off, it's an absolutely fantastic piece of play.

Further evidence to the notion that Grimes is good enough, he's just mis-managed.

Cooper delivered ++ He got the very best out of our talented assets.
Did you think Cooper's efficient, effective and uber entertaining mega thrusting football at Forest was awful to watch ?

You sound ever so entitled and a tad plastic.

Martinwang proved to be a complete and utter shite fest of a disaster in comparison. The very worst thing that's happened to our Club in yonks. A spiteful raging fraud.
After all those years in those wilderness do you honestly think Forest fans either thought or cared that Cooper played football that was awful to watch?

Attention seeker more like!

If we don't have another player who could pass to a teammate who's 20 yards away using their favoured foot whilst unmarked and under no pressure then that's quite damning on the rest of the squad :ROFLMAO:

For God's sake, he is a professional footballer, a midfielder. Passing should be bread and butter. Credit should be given to the runner. Those passes happen every week, even in the Sunday league,

I’d prefer a classic Nr6 defensive midfielder to break up play with a player like Franco alongside and linking up with a classic Nr 10. There again I’m a 🦖 and dont’t get this multi-tasking thing.

Those that slag off Matty, don't get football, and clearly have absolutely no comprehension of playing CM to a decent level.

Comedy gold how the usual suspects (fatboy Jobsworth, most notably) are consistently showing themselves up for knowing naff all about football. And all the meek sheeple pile on in, as per. Take a step back sheeple, watch, think and 'see' for yourselves instead of the twp eyes wide shut of the herd.

Best CDM in the league, leads by example, Chief Exec of on-field strategy and tactics, leader of men (and properly dishes it out in training where he sets the example), the go-to calm, assured, intelligent Warburtonesque leader at all times - ask anybody currently (and previously) invested - players, managers, owners, staff, informed fans.......

Look across all Swans SM - the twps slag him off, the footballing intelligentsia sit back, enjoy and applaud our last remaining thread to our famed Swansea way.

Poor, cringe thread, in so many ways.
Well said Matt

What's wrong with the old, and, functional 442 ???? GK
RB CB CB LB
RW CM (attack) CM (defend) LW

You could play one forward a little off creating a 4411 but it's much the same. All a load of ponce these days

Nothing wrong with 4-4-2

Too many pretentious managers out there trying to reinvent the game playing three at the back and so on.

The amount of attention the likes of Potter receive puzzles me. The guys really hasn't achieved that much. At one point the Brighton fans were booing his teams at their pomp.

Definitely. 4.4.2; get into ‘em and f**k ‘em up. Foolproof.

It certainly saved the Russbot from the longest losing streak in history, even if without the essential getting into ‘em and f**king ‘em up.

More seriously, why not? We need something different to the tired old shit that has mostly been churned out under Williams.

The current format doesn't seem to working, so I echo your sentiments, why not?

Edit* It's not trendy enough.

The problem with 4-4-2 is that a lot of teams at the moment either play 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 so your 2 in midfield would always be outnumbered.

Of course, with proper coaching this could be avoided (getting your spare CB to step up into midfield or one of your strikers to drop back) but then you're effectively back in the same situation, either playing a 3-5-2 or a 4-5-1.

Our formation at the moment tends to be a 3-3-3-1 with Grimes dropping in as a third CB, both full backs pushed on, then the two wingers and number 10 playing behind the single striker. The main problem we have is the 6 more defensive players keep the ball amongst themselves and are far too slow to get it to the 4 attacking players
