• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

for the sake of 1.5millio you may as well keep him and let him go free end of year

That's how I see it, but someone/something has to pay for the Joseph and Piroe. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we were banking on Grimes money and Winter has been caught with his pants down. Clubs know we are desperate.

We'll see how it plays out but £1.5m will be horrible business.

If Grimes goes now for that kind of pittance, you can bet your bottom dollar Roberts will follow in January, even *if* we're in a similar position to last time. And that's a monumental if.

I wasn't expecting Roberts to get a move this summer, but the more time goes on, it seems like I thought wrong, and we were banking on a sale which could have been agreed in background prior to Euros. His injury has killed our preparation for the season.

I don't like to slag the club off constantly, I did the exact opposite last year when our own manager was making noises in press but this summer has been an absolute shambles.

Has to be our most saleable asset at the moment. The praise heaped on him by sky pundits has made sure of that. Would have been gone already if it wouldn't have been for the injury. Getting rid of Grimes for that kind of sum shows they're trawling the bottom of grandma's jewellery box because they've lost the key to the most valuable bit of jewellery they have, but they'll find it in January. I'd be surprised if they're not lining Cabango up for next summer. The only thing that would prevent the annual sale of our most prized possession is promotion, that's why that goal is getting more distant with every season that passes.

Obviously made up, to try and extract every penny out of Fulham, perhaps they'll throw in a couple more add ons if we're lucky.

I don't mind slagging the club off at all but I don't think this summer has been a shambles at all if I'm honest.

What's happened that we didn't expect when the final whistle went at Wembley?

I think we would have expected Cooper to leave a bit closer to the final whistle at Wembley than the whistle at kick off in Blackburn, that's one thing.

On the other hand , I would have expected Connor to leave.

I don't disagree but presumably we were waiting for the Palace/WBA/Fulham situations to play out. Letting Cooper go and then him going there without any compensation would have been a shambles. Two weeks to agree compensation with him I don't think is unreasonable given the stakes.

now reported 1.5mil for Grimes is completely wide of mark
