I thought I was dreaming the 20mph limit

Not initially. The focus is on education not enforcement. There was a similar reaction when seat belts became compulsory in the early 80s. Then everyone got used to it and the world didn’t end.

Oh crikey, Lee waters said the same thing, seatbelts and smoking in pubs IIRC. Don't get me wrong, I'm not kind of boy racer, who believes putting my foot down everywhere, but some roads they have implemented this 20 on, is absolutely bonkers, take broadway for example, hardly a pedestrian in sight, pavements set way back from the road, yet that's 20?

It's been 20 in many places I go for a few years, now one 20 zone is right by a school, I hit 45 past there the other day, why? because the school was shut and there was nobody around, but when school is out, and all the kids are standing there with the parents, looking to run across the road, rather than using the zebra some 20 yards away, I will most prob be doing under 10mph.

Doing 45 in a 20 zone makes you a bit of a prick to be honest.

The 20 zone is purely for the school, the school was shut, and the pavements were completely clear. Like I said, I would be doing under ten if the kids were around.

It's a bloody nonsense, dreamed up by a complete and utter bellend running this country.

He's not a 'complete and utter bellend' at all...I'm not a fan if this 20 mph bollix, but Drakes is way better, clearer in expression and more honourable than the cnts in charge in Westminster any day...if you think otherwise then you're a right wing Tory cnt!

Yes he is, in fact bellend is a very polite word to use for those cranks up at the Senedd. Just look at the way they handled covid, give us harsher restrictions than the rest of the uk, backed up by some some claptrap like we do things different in Wales, yet when the Covid inquiry in England is going on, V Gething is called, and he basically didn't have a clue what he was talking about, because he didn't bother reading the reports. It seems in Wales, labour can shit all over the people, and the majority ignore it.

I’m intrigued as to why the WEF seems to have some influence over speed limits in Wales.

The senedd petition has now reached 27,000 signatures.

"We want the Welsh Government to revoke and remove the disastrous 20 mph law."

Apparently the legislation was championed by WG climate change department and the health and safety department.

There you have the climate change zealots want us all to walk or cycle and give up cars.

It is nothing to do with road safety Drakeford has lied again.

Take a look at this blog from Jaco Of the North, and then once you read that, maybe you will be intrigued to delve a bit deeper. And once you delve a bit deeper, you may realise that this is not for our benefit, and certainly nothing to do with preventing accidents.

At least I'm speaking from first hand experience of it, not what bollocks I've been reading on facebook.

You could have done the same.

Calm down, I can only say what I see. And I think the bollocks you speak of, was what I copied from the Wales Online article. And don't worry mush, I will give an informative report on my findings with this in a few days time.

My wife said earlier that it will save many cats lives by dropping to 20mph, I laughed, but she has a point bless her 🐱

We are not having it, I guarantee you this stupid law will be revoked, and it will be by nefarious methods. If they want to play with the big boys, I guarantee you they will not like it it. And neither will Drakeys sycophants like it.
