Is it really working with/for Duff?

I like duff and think he'll do well with us in time.

We're probably 5-7 points less than what we should have really, and that's not discussing how horrid start so we should be in and around the top 9.

Injuries have fucked us up and ginnelly would have taken us up a different level I think as we are desperate for pace - how many times did we break today eith patto/cooper who don't have the pace?

Get Key fit and some pace in Jan and we'll be there or there abouts come season end.

We were ok today against a decent side. What I couldn't understand is why patino didn't come on

It is what it is.

I'd be more worried about what's going on in the corridors of power at the moment, listening to all the latest chatter it seems Coleman could be a bit of a loose cannon 🤔

Yeah I can’t be bothered with that, I’m too cold after this afternoon  watching the swans is a grim, joyless experience for the most part and has been for a few years now.

The last few seasons have seen us attending matches less and less, due to off and on field, the pull isn't there.

Results don't seem to have the same affect. apathy definitely rules.

Seriously? You don’t think you’ll enjoy any of the other 28 games? Come on Saint, that’s ridiculous. Three teams are going up, Leeds, Leicester and, unless he seriously fucks it up, Southampton. Those 3 squads are head and shoulders above the rest. Ipswich or WBA could be a bolter, but I think they’ll both fade away. Whoever it is will be straight back down as they are still cack in PL terms.

Depends on your version of 'enjoy'. I'll keep going whilst I've a hole in my arse, but going on the first 17/18 games we've had, you can't honestly tell me you've enjoyed more than half dozen games? Yes we'll be competitive v top sides....but as for winning em/won't happen. And winning is what makes it enjoyable...for me anyway. A little cup run be great and beating the vermin even better, but we are soooo average at best right now.

Ah, that’s different Saint. I’m not expecting to enjoy that many, but I expect us to get another 36 points or so, so there’ll be some winning going on. I’m expecting nothing midweek, but, hell, this is the Swans. Anything could happen.

He’s come across as a total and utter twat since the day he arrived. I’m surprised he’s any kind of cannon. Water pistol, I thought.

Ignore me Monny, I'm just a grumpy bstard when I'm thawing out.

What I'd like to know, is what Duff says to our players when we're 2-0 up at half time? I know what the Hull manager said - "Listen up lads, I won't keep you long, Just press them high up the pitch with pace, they've got a mistake or 2 in them ". Surely Duff must know because it happens every single time, is that when the opposition is losing at half time, they are going to come flying out of the blocks for the second half and every single time, our only response is to impersonate rabbits in headlights and cause ourselves more problems than the opposition do. So I would assume what Duff says is along the lines of, "Well done lads, we deserve our lead so just more of the same please"

League 1 is his level. Tactically clueless and well out of his depth. Get rid.

What's the feeling with it, have we pushed on with his appointment or do you feel we have or are going backwards?

I personally am not seeing much if any light of a plan, a system or a stamp of trying to play that will see rewards down the line.

Obviously he needs time and the players he wants to come here, whether he gets either is a matter of conjecture.

17th after 17 matches, GS24, GC23, av possession and pass completion rate down on last season - the stats say we're going backwards.

The eyeball test - so we played well for 90 mins at Millwall and Plymouth, the last 15 mins against Sheff Wednesday, first 15 against Norwich, and the odd 5-10 min spell here and there in one or two of the other games. Other than that it's been a complete eyesore to watch, mostly aimless punts into the channels and no cohesion in midfield.

The players often look knackered, they're clearly not fit enough and hence they are injury prone.

By any reasonable measure, we are going backwards at a rate of knots under Duff. It is undeniable.

Basically we are a mid table or slightly below Championship side, next season we might give the playoffs a go or get dragged into a relegation scrap...
Either way it's out of us mear supporters hands mate.
Stop stressing is my advice, just enjoy the ride 👍

He seems about as inspiring as a cold bowl of porridge.

And the volume of soft tissue injuries speaks volumes...

We will be fine - half of our starting 11 injured ffs

Let's not forget we were crap when the majority of the team were fit. It took us until the eighth league game to win a league match.
