January Transfer Rumours

You can't get bigger for rugby than South Wales plus Ashton gate holds 27,000.

I think our club is fairly unique.

And they rarely fill it and the South West is equally rugby supported

I honestly think the Low delay is due to their manager going to Wycombe think he’s going to go there with him.
I know I've only just joined this conversation, but have I missed something? Low is a Wycombe player already isn't he?

Think he meant Luton.. they have decent CB's so not sure he would go there buy it could happen

I just want to watch 90 minutes of football on a regular basis and think to myself I really enjoyed that, win lose or draw.
The Leeds and Sunderland game were pretty good.. except our defence parting like the red sea

Gotta fill it up with something as our rumours would only fill a page 😁
Not many silly rumours this window either.
I’ve heard we’re looking at a Dutch winger, Willie Drijble from league 2 side CK Spasti.
Pederson currently spending £60-70 a week in the canteen so may be willing to keep him this window.

Not sure we can be compared to Bristol City which is a massive city compared to us with a team that has been underachieving for decades.
I think he means in terms of their team. They’ve been a mid table championship team as long as I can remember… have rarely threatened promotion or relegation

That's the difference between a decent and good central defender.

If Darling had anything about him, he would organise the back four better, especially after scoring.

That's more to decades of under achievement.

West Ham in the FA Cup last season sold out within hours.

The appetite is there, the club just needs to serve up something worth eating.

Exactly.
Entitlement is utter bollocks. 50% of my supporting "career" has been spent in Division Three or Four.
I just think that we are entitled, for want of another word, to see Swansea playing like they want to play for us. And that includes everyone else connected with the playing side.
In those good old (or bad) days in div 3 or 4 I hardly ever came away from the Vetch feeling the players hadn’t given their all for the shirt. These days it’s becoming the norm

And yet modern footballers cover far more ground in a match than they did decades ago. The contrast on athleticism between then and now is night and day.

I think it’s a bit of a myth that modern players cover more ground than players from previous eras.

You can argue pressing and transitions, may have evolved, the overall physical output in terms of distance covered hasn’t drastically changed.

Players are far more protected these days so you could say the physical toll is also a lot less than it has been. It’s also worth noting that modern pitches are generally in better condition

The game might look faster today, it doesn’t necessarily mean players are working harder overall.
