This stuff really isn’t easy when you know what you are doing, especially in January. When you have no idea what you’re doing but think you’re great, it’s nigh on impossible. Up until selling Grimes I don’t think a lot happened on the pitch. We’ve struggled to create all season and we’ve been making defensive mistakes all season. That all came together for a few games.

Something’s happened behind the scenes though. I thought Williams’ links to WBA was a load of bollocks (why the hell would they want him?). But that seems to have been more disruptive that I’d have thought.

By “quite well” I mean we were solid. Still not creating a lot and still subject to fecking up at the back, but it was a platform we could build on by adding quality. Now it’s just a shitshow.
