Poll: Happy with the way things are going?

Attacking third non existent? Only the top two and boro have scored more than us, and that's with an out of touch Piroe, and Obafemi out of the squad.

Benda is a young keeper who has made a few mistakes, I don't disagree it's shaky at the back but hopefully the four can solidify things.

I think a top half finish, while slashing the wage bill would be a good effort and I think that's what we will get.

I think, having seen the quality of the teams in this league, including the top two, who are distinctly average, just top half is very disappointing for any team, given that no one stands out. He needs the play offs this year, or he has failed in a year that this team could ctually make it. We beat the team in third 4-0 to do a double FFS. No, he's not getting away with his mid table bullshit this year. Pick the right players in the right positions, and get the tactics right, and we'll be there.

No excuses.

Maybe being a cynic but the PR machine works very well for Russ and something he relies on.

The Obafemi and Paterson situations
The Whittaker situation (when he seemingly doesn't even want to play him)
The lack of funds (so give him a break as he's hot his hands tied behind his back)

Anyone who believed Russ would have more backing than he has had financially when he came in is just wrong. Darling was decent money as was Fisher, Obafemi (perhaps not his signing), agreeing a new deal for his signing Paterson, had just signed Piroe for over a million, Downes (OK he was sold).

I don't see many other Championship clubs spending the money that we've had spent over the last 18 months. Perhaps Boro and Luton who spent a bit in the summer. The others are those who have just come down

Fourth top scorers in the league, sure. On the other hand we have only scored five more than the average for the league, here's why stats can easily sway a debate in the wrong direction.

What doesn't change is what I see with the eyes, we have been gutless up front in multiple games this season. I get the feeling (will try and find some stats for this) that we score late in games (Coventry springs to mind) where Martin has been forced to throw caution to the wind in order to recover from a losing situation.

Excellent thread, Doc.

What were the results ?

80% Unhappy when I last looked.

Similar to the Martin Out threads.

Similar to the Matchday losing expectations, week in, week out.

Yet some irrational propagandists and their flock are still shouting loudly for Martin

Aye excellent thread I agree 365, thanks Doc for putting the cat amongst the pigeons.

Now, the worrying scenario, three players out in the next 10 days for probably in excess of 7 million, taking out the hedge funds wedge, that will still leave Russ some serious wonga to spunk away.
Do you trust this fud to "spend it wisely?
Answers on a postcard

Hearing that patience is worn beyond thin (despite Jake S's bizarre ongoing affection). Far too much has been spunked on Martin's whims.

No way should he be allowed to spunk away any more of Jake's hard earned stuff. Let's hope Winter's discontent is real this time.

Man up, Wints. Far too much spunking on your watch, mwsh.
