We have started the season OK nothing more than that. I hear the comments we need players to Gel. There is that but that same statement surely applies to the bulk of teams in this division.
Certainly more positive that we should flirt more with the top half than the bottom half.
8-10th for me which is a step forward.

I'm not sure if many sides have brought in as many new players as us.

For example our defense is relatively settled with only Burgess coming in as a new first choice defender.
Our striker has never been truly settled and now Vip and Idah will likely be the main competition up top.

Our entire central midfield is all brand new outside of Franco with four new additions and our first choice left winger on current form is also brand new. Add to that almost every other player brought in as a part of the "two per position" is also brand new and there is a huge amount of gelling needed

Think we'll finish 8/9/10, hope to see some entertaining footy once the team settles in, other teams have also strengthened and I'm sure their fan base will also be feeling optimistic. Top 6 would be an outstanding achievement, hopefully a nice run in the Cup too, positive but not getting carried away (yet).

Not the cleverest of Polls.

With a proper decent manager and the massive (latent) talent we now have - Top 2 is possible, Top 6 highly probable

However our massivest limiting factor is Sheeez. He is yet to show up and deliver a consistent winning brand of Swans footy - entertaining, clever, innovative, effective, efficient, sexy stuff.

Clearly our clever owners will have a contingency plan. Sheeez' glass ceiling looks to be way below the elevated bar of expectation. Nonetheless with the riches of talent expertly acquired, 7-10 is a given.

Thats the sprit 👍

After four games our PPG is 1.75. Maintain that across the season and we’d finish with 80 points - enough to make the top 6 for at least the last few seasons, but not the automatic promotion places. And that’s without some of our latest reinforcements being available for those games. So I’ve gone for play-offs but not autos.

I know some posters were bemoaning the fact that the club had effectively written off the games before the international break by not signing a top striker before the season began. Didn’t turn out like that at all.

We just have to arrange it so we play Sheff Wed every other game and we can sail to 80 points. Promotion it is.

You say that but apart from maybe Ipswich will any other team run away with it? I’m not sure they will do second could be 80/83 points. Different league this year .

We’ll make the play offs. Sheehan is doing fine averaging 2 points a game since he joined?
It was 2 points in ten games for Russy

Ah it’s you again. Sorry I don’t understand your question. Where is the intensity lacking in your opinion?
I was agreeing with your post. Sheehan is indeed doing fine. Unlike our former manager who would excuse a lame performance on the basis that we played with ‘intensity’. Not even sure what that word means in football, to be honest.

Hence why I liked your original post. I should have flagged that I was being ironic. I’ll use more emojis in future.
