Fulton....underrated? Developed into an excellent player?
As I said earlier, our acceptance of mediocrity is a major problem.

He's good at this level.

People are still stuck in the PL ages.

Would you keep him? I would have kicked him out ages ago.

I wouldn’t other than we’d be just as likely to recruit someone far worse as far better. So kicking him out could be a disaster.
The difference between us Mon is I think our squad is just not good enough. We were lucky as hell for quite a bit of this season and once our luck ran out we look as ordinary as we are.

Grimes, Fulton, Bidwell, Dhanda, Lowe, Cullen, Smith... how anyone makes them look anything other than average I don’t know. As I say, they’re good enough if you have a few sparks amongst them, but the sparks have all gone.

I agree we have been lucky and I don’t think we are necessarily promotion material but every team is a reflection of their manager, without exception. What is the point of managers otherwise. The players we have are amongst the best in a as poor division, if that is shit sandwich so be it.

Penalty or just Fulton holding his ground?
Bennet for Hourihane, this is a game where parking the bus for 20 minutes makes s ns.

He’s pretty good at this level and never looked out of place in the prem

Couple of times in the prem especially under Monk, he came into the team and we picked up some good results.
Puts a shift in, tries to be forward thinking... He might lack in ability for a 10 but he wants to be creative and has it in his bag on times.

Fulton could hold his own in the PL. He had a great game in the 5-4 vs Palace.

Ten minutes ago Fulton was having a mare and contributing nothing apart from conceding free kicks for ridiculous challenges, then he gets a cross shot in that is parried to Lowe and all of a sudden he’s Zidane.

Nothing to do with living in the Premiership he’s bang average.

Who's compared him to Zidane?

Oh absolutely, I don't doubt that he could easily be a PL squad player now.

And we are going to finish in the play offs.

That ball from Ayew showed that a touch of ability with average players can make a huge difference. Ayew hasn’t done it frequently enough in the past few months.

I think a player like Fulton depends a lot on he quality of players around him. He's not the creative hub, but what he brings to a team allows more creative players to be, er, more creative.

Maybe he's needed the rest his injury has given him.
