We have conceded a few late goals lately that needs to be addressed.

In the play offs, 5 at the back will come back to the fore for that now.

Its all about nerves and grinding results out if we are to do anything.

Not expecting much but let's see how it goes.

Ayes showed in his 25min cameo what we have been missing, someone to engage players and make time and space for others. How he smuggled the ball out to Fulton for our equaliser was insane, no other player in our team except maybe Routledge would have the audacity let alone the technique to pull it off

What do we do in the next few games? Try and get as high up as possible or rest players?

Ayew needs to be limited to cameos IMO.

Last two games now have to be about getting our first choice 11 to peak sharpness, I dont think there is anything to choose between Barnsley Brentford and Bournemouth in terms of difficulty

The best through ball Hourihane has played all game has been to a reading player. That aside he almost always goes backwards and kills any momentum from breaking the lines.

Pull him off and put on Ayew at half time and put Routs in centre midfield

Id stick smith on for hourihane, sit him in front of the back 4 and push grimes further upfield.

If ayew is on the bench he must be fit so I'd keep him back until 60 mins in, id also stick whittaker on at 60 with ayew.

Ahem

I think we want Barnsley in the semis for sure, to have any chance (no disrespect to them).

In a final anything can happen.

Yup.

His form has been a big influence this season as he’s one of the few game changers when he’s on song which he hasn’t been for some time and we’ve suffered as a result,

Ok, now the fun starts.

Just roll the dice and go for it. We have absolutely nothing to lose.

Better to give it a go than ponder what might have been and, if we don't make it, we can look forward to more of the same next season.

It's only a game 👈

Before today like many I was thinking why bother as we were toothless in attack but now I'm thinking especially after the second half (where we should have really buried them) we have a chance but only if we attack like we did after ayew came on.

Never mind Ayew wanting to play every minute of every game, he must now be wrapped in cotton wool for us to have even a wafer thin chance in the play offs.
Give him a 15 minute cameo in each of last 2 games to keep him ticking over....then fckn unleash him.

It would be nice to carry some form forward, beat Wayne Rooney’s Derby and hopefully send them down. I’m really fed up with hearing about him.
