• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I know emotions are running high and we are all sometimes guilty of hyperbole, but that away kit is shite though isn’t it?

Also instead of Fisher’s goalkeeping gloves, couldn’t we give him some of those comic foam false hands? Might confuse the opposition, or at least provoke pity?

He should wear Tasmanian Devil slippers as well, just because. I wish him well in his future career as a walking collander.
I feel bad for him. I played a few games in goals here and there when I was younger and once the head goes its a long 90 mins. He has the thousand yard stare of a dodgy keeper in howling season.

It's a horrible situation for Fisher, he must be petrified every time the ball comes near him. Have been told from someone who knows people from the first team that Fisher is going through hell, mentally.

Not a good place to be, he doesn't, to be honest look up to it at this level, and Russ needs to take responsibility for that as he prioritised him in the market and spent money we could have done with having kept back.

And just how do you suggest he takes responsibility? This is a fraud who takes responsibility for nothing

By doing what he did earlier in the season, swallowing his pride and putting his signing on the bench. Unfortunately for us though the number 1 keeper got injured in Jan and we didn't fancy bringing anyone else in to cover. So we're stuck with a keeper who is going through a dreadful time, and a back up who has played four pro games in his career.

And how does that help us? Russell should be sacked for the fisher signing alone.

As bad as Fisher has been, I'm not convinced that someone whose senior career has consisted of four games for Hereford is going to be any better. Might be time to give him or Lewis Webb a chance although I have no idea how good Webb is either.

But we do know how bad Fisher is, surely Webb or Andreas Søndergaard can't do any worse?

Yes, the Søndergaard move is a strange one if he's deemed not first team standard. There always seemed to be quite a few 35+ year old goalkeepers around who had played at a decent level and were signed as an experienced 3rd choice backup. Surely one of them would have loved a few months in the Championship? I'm thinking of someone like Andy Lonergan who is 3rd choice at Everton behind Jordan Pickford and Asmir Begovic but has played first team football for Leeds, Bolton, Fulham, Wolves, Boro and more recently has been backup at Liverpool, Stoke, WBA & now Everton. There are probably a few other 'oldies' like him still around too.

And therein is another issue with Russ. His network of contacts is shyte.

Dreadful away kit, the sleeves remind me of the tail logo of a British Airways plane
