• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Bit of a weird lineup, presumably Downes in defence with Fulton, Grimes and Smith in midfield again, which is a bit... pedestrian. Surprised that Pato is on the bench, and where the hell is Ogbeta?

Not a fan of the lineup - we have basically settled on three midfielders who offer plenty of graft but zero creativity in Grimes, Fulton and Smith. I feel like its going to be a long hard shift for Obafemi tonight making runs but not having anyone able to spot and/or deliver the ball that the runs deserve.

That feels like it has Swansea nil written all over it 😂

Paterson on the bench is not a surprise to be honest - he must be struggling for match fitness

Smith as an AM.. every person associated with Swansea know it's a pointless venture, yet he persists with it.. he's lost the plot

Heart sank a bit when I saw no Pato starting. As above, Oba got it all on tonight. Just don't want us fckn about in defence and giving freebies. Banish the myth of a cold midweek game in Stoke. Bout time, horrible club...entitled bunch o cvnts.
Will take a draw...but why not a win ?

I cannot help but wonder why we are not playing a left wingback like Ogbeta and putting Wolf up alongside Ntcham to at least have a bit of cutting edge to the team instead of Smith or Fulton. Neither of which is tearing up any weeds let alone trees.

0-0 then as they will never break through our six men across the middle of the park.

Is this the ‘random names in a hat’ part of The Process?

Surprise me, but I think this could be a tough

This'll be one where we all feel despondent and down to begin with but come away with an emphatic 1-3 away victory - mark my words. 8-) :D

.

The theory is that Smith drives the high press to keep as a high a defensive line as possible.

It may work with Downes at CB, driving from deep.
