• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Recruitment has been encouraging so far, but if we don't sign at least one decent Championship level striker, we are going to struggle.
Custard slice or no custard slice.
I know Yates was shit, but seems mental to loan him out when we didn't have a replacement either in the door or lined up. Doesn't seem likely that Myk is going to be that guy.

Real head scratcher given there was no replacement ready to come in and replace.

Gold star Smurph 🌟

As I repeat, it was a real head scratcher no reaplacement ready to come in.

Fast forward nearly 4 weeks and still nothing.

Season starts on the 10th of August and Yates was hardly one of the first names on the team sheet, it's not as if we will miss him.

Yates is no loss at all, would rather start the season with Cullen if pushed than a player that regularly shit out of challenges and went missing, his comments since joining Derby speaks volumes about his character.

Can't miss what we didn't have which was a centre forward in Yates.

On paper it seemed like a decent signing at the time. The rest is history as they say.

He'll be plying his trade at Fleetwood or Carlisle next season on another loan, if not in January, lanky string of pish ...

He was our joint top scorer last season albeit only 9 goals.
He will certainly be missed if we don't replace him with a better option but letting him go with no replacement after nearly 4 weeks is not good planning.

I'm reading clubs not selling players until a replacement is sourced and this seems to be a part of the issues with the current market.

Come May we could be questioning why we let our top scorer join a rival on loan....lets hope it's a case that we find a replacement who shows us all what we have been missing.

Let's not kid ourselves that losing our top scorer with no replacement in the building nearly 4 weeks later and the season 2 weeks off is not a big deal.

Problem is we've lost 3 top scorers in one hit and replaced with.... well... nobody !

That's a very dramatic point of view.
