To be fair this is better than signing squad fillers. January is a dreadful time for quality, but obviously I wonder if it’s because we haven’t a pot to piss in. If it stays like this, Martin simply has to get a tune out of Oba, keep Ntcham fit, Downs on the pitch, and reconcile with Paterson, if that’s possible for player, club and fans (if he has a few bad games…or looks like he’s not trying..). A goal and some effort and it would all be forgotten, by us anyway. If we lose him then Wolf and Ntcham have to play…NOT Smith. Yeah…no chance.

Agree, but we need to see what we’re aiming towards in terms of style. Maybe we have. Actually, we have, haven’t we. It’s hard coded now. The Italian tank philosophy. 5 gears, all reverse.

Could be worse you could be QPR who have a real chance of getting promoted but choosing not to sign anyone, and won’t even pay 750K for Paterson
