• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Just seen that Freddie Ladapo from Rotherham has handed in a transfer request, could be a good addition up top for the right price. He’d be a point of difference in our attack and add a bit of physicality and aerial threat too

Covid will have had an affect on our ability to sign while playing behind closed doors etc, but in November we had a list of players ready wanting to join us.

Vital Swansea twitter account who are usually pretty reliable are saying two in this week one being Fisher.

The other they say is 'underwhelming' and not a defender. Well that means it's not not Darling from MK Dons and I think most swans would happy with O'Reily or Twine, so I can't see it being them either.

So who could they be talking about?

Unlikely though it would be, wouldn't it be nice to get Connor Roberts and Joe Rodon on loan for the rest of the season? They will both know they need to be playing regularly for their Wales aspirations and who better for them to be playing for if their clubs aren't going to give them any game time? Joe would significantly strengthen our defence in place of Bennett and Connor was always more of a wing back anyway so a decent replacement for Laird.

No a complete waste of money IMHO, they are not our players we need to stay away from loans unless we can have an option. With Laird being recalled it has left us without pace or a decent WB.

If the club was a couple of points off a play off place, in the play off places or auto spots and needed that little bit of quality to plug a gap and get them over the line then fair enough, but I’m sorry to say they are miles off that at the moment and I’d rather keep the cash which is likely to amount to a fair chunk of cash to buy a player over the summer and strengthen for next year. The current WG restrictions aren’t helping cash flow either, but I believe we’ll see the position on that change in the next few weeks.

The lengths people go to these days..

Noticed that Blackburn are In talks to sign Ryan Hedges from Aberdeen, 4 goals and 5 assists in 19 games this season. Left our academy for Barnsley at the end of the 16/17 season

Fisher has signed subject to Medical according to Twitter and local press at MK. Seven figure sum quoted which seems a bit high but who knows.

I'm sure if seven figure deal is true then it includes extra based on appearances promotion international caps 😉 etc
