• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Need to bring in a striker now surely. Not sure Matos sees Cullen as a striker despite saying that he’s an option to play there.

Lissah can play full back or center half right?
Agree though that we might utilize Lissah who has had a stellar season on loan with Falkirk and send out Parker to develop for a season as well, wouldn't surprise me if he was also sent to Falkirk considering how well they have done with Lissah and Wilson
Surely Lissah comes in as 2nd choice RB and 4th choice CB next season?

I would be happy with Cullen as back up plus Matos has played a false 9 in 1 game I can remember this season.

Ideal world we get a striker in but we have options if we don't.

Who cares who recommended a player or influenced his arriving in SA1.Only their positive contributions to the club on and off the pitch matter.
Don’t be naive. People have an insatiable appetite to be “right” and they have to “prove” it. Why do you think this thread is 80 pages long and people claim exclusives all the time.

Edit. 100 pages. Which proves my point really.

Why have second choice this fourth choice that? What we need is a competitive squad where everyone is capable of fighting for the jersey.
Thats a good point Smurph.
It just seems to be something the club looks like it has done with it's approach.
Santos being 4th choice
Ward being back up etc

But your point is pretty good and makes you think.

I’m not sure about that to be honest, Cullen is always best for us as a midfielder, feel we need someone who is naturally suited to the striker role. A real shame that Idah is injured.

As I say I'm ideal world then I agree but finances come into it also.

Finances, which you know absolutely nothing about, none of us on here do.

And squad harmony. Very difficult to keep players happy that expect to be starters, even looking at someone like Casey you could see how unhappy he was with his role in the team.

Most of us would have been, he came here to play games and get some experience of regular first team football. For the amount of minutes he played he may as well have stayed where he was.

You would end up with a lot of very unhappy players if everyone was good enough to be in the starting 11. It’s important to have players in a squad who are happy to fill the backup roles because they don’t quite have the quality of the first team.

I'd suggest his club were more disgruntled about his playing time more than the player himself.
