• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

How much do you want to bet that Sheehan pushed for every bad signing that the club made while he was here, while he had nothing to do with any successful signing?
Exactly, all based on a dislike for man who only tried his best for the club.

We never gave Casey a run of games to see his potential. We was content though to see Key's form deteriorate instead.

It's unacceptable that we went ahead with Benson deal with no cancelation clause in the contract considering his injury history.

There’s a reason why Swansea City don’t employ a manager. It goes to player recruitment and the minimal say that the head coach has in player acquisitions.

Blaming the head coach for recruitment is nonsense. He is involved in identifying positions and the type of player that the squad needs and then the recruitment team take over.

Somebody put up a video of his goals at Burnley when we loaned him. I noticed the vast majority of goals featured him dropping his shoulder, coming inside the full-back and shooting from the edge of the area.

I didn't see him try that once in his limited appearances for us. Not sure if that's due to him having lost a step/confidence after injury or if the way we were playing didn't give him the opportunity (we hardly got the ball forward quickly most of the time). The fact Matos seems to want to use him even less than Sheehan did doesn't suggest he's shining on the training pitch however.

I would agree with you that we should have insisted on a cancellation clause as a condition of completing the loan.
