Where did I criticise our search?... I've no idea who all these potential targets, are all i was saying that we will end up with a player who is not top or middle of our list where Sheehan quoted he wanted a striker better than what we have. Is Idah that man?

I'd say 100% upgrade on what we have how do you know where he was on the list Sheehan has stated we have been interested for a while did we have to wait on Celtic's fate in the Champions league?

I only go by what's on this thread or the previous 400 pages of players linked or allegedly we submitted a bid. Idah clearly hasn't been a priority striker signing unless everything reported on previous links was all media and agent hype.

He’s probably got the other striker deals that have fallen through this summer in the back of his mind too. Doesn’t want to say anything concrete even if he knew more than he was letting on.

Indy saying Idah's been on the radar since January. Who knows for sure though.

3 million up front seems like. Cant complain with that should it be the case. Would also mean Celtics deal with Norwich is significantly les as he wouldn't have reached certain clauses for them to pay the full 9.5 million. Good deal all around by sounds of it.

Better off leaving him on a permanent he isn’t going to get back in the squad and we’ll only add stronger players.

We all know the dangers of reading too much into a highlights video, but I watched the first few minutes of that and was struck by the first goal shown. The way Idah made space for himself to take a shot from the edge of the area with a clever move was very Piroe-esque. Given the lack of chances we provide our strikers with, it would be good to have a striker capable of creating shooting chances for himself.
