• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Somebody put up a video of his goals at Burnley when we loaned him. I noticed the vast majority of goals featured him dropping his shoulder, coming inside the full-back and shooting from the edge of the area.

I didn't see him try that once in his limited appearances for us. Not sure if that's due to him having lost a step/confidence after injury or if the way we were playing didn't give him the opportunity (we hardly got the ball forward quickly most of the time). The fact Matos seems to want to use him even less than Sheehan did doesn't suggest he's shining on the training pitch however.

I would agree with you that we should have insisted on a cancellation clause as a condition of completing the loan.

In fairness to the club it was deadline day and we needed a right winger, there wasn't much time to look at alternatives and it was worth the punt to see if he could rediscover his form in the championship a few years previous.

I agree it was worth he punt at the time im not criticizing that but he did only play 152mins worth of football in 2 years we should have known there was a good chance it would have gone wrong.

Yea but relatively low risk. He was never going to be a long term option and even if Ronald got injured we still have others who could play right wing.

Who knows maybe he'll return rejuvenated and contribute something. Doubt it mind.

I am guessing that he came at a healthy cost.

3 points off playoffs 4th highest scores in the league and multiple sellable assets compared to Santos and Idah the worst attacking team in the league and a relegation battle. Not a fan of Martin but his spell looked like Pwp compared to Sheehan.

If you compared him to Duff I could see it but to put Martin in the same bracket as this clown is ridiculous.
There, I corrected this for you.

Rak-Sakyi not going to happen by the looks of things. Real shame, quality player. We have to be competing higher up to be able to attract that standard of player though unfortunately.

Not the end of the world as the squad isn’t lacking for bodies and apart from probably needing a CB, we can likely see the season out with what we have.

We were told this window would be a quiet one.
