He starts most games. We've got a much better player in Idah
Have we got a much better player?

The stats don't indicate this, the only positive for Idah his that his goals are in much less minutes.

I can't comment on Kone's overall contribution to QPR, however Idah's contribution has been sparse at best and he cost more than twice as much as Kone.

I’d prefer Idah to Kone.

Idah has scored at Champions League level, Kone has scored for half a season in League One. Plus as I keep saying, nobody has any clue how much we paid for Idah, if I was to guess I would say £5m + add ons, but Gorringe laughed at the reported fee in that podcast.

Fair enough, personally Idah isn't for me and as you say we don't really know what the transfer fee was.

I'm not saying Kone would have been the answer either and yes his history isn't over an extended period but there is potential there. Idah's record is not good with the exception of a decent return at Celtic, which does not translate to the Championship for him (poor record with Norwich and so far with Swansea) and from what I've seen IMO never will.

We are lucky that Vipotnik has kicked on the way he has this season.

This season Idah has a minutes per goal rate of 204 minutes in the Championship, with most of his appearances coming off the bench. Kone's rate is 386 minutes, almost double Idah's, while playing for a team that scores more goals than us.

We are lucky that Vipotnik has done so well this season, but it's not hard to imagine that a guy who scored 20 goals last season in the SPL and Champions League would also have scored a good amount if he was starting regularly.

The desire to write Idah off from day one only makes sense if the person doing so is a Rangers fan. Otherwise it's baffling.

You can also add Idah plays for the
Republic of Ireland where he has scored for them .
Don't write him off like so many did with Vp
until he has a run of games and is fully match fit .

And he scored 1 every 250 mins or something (less than 1 in 3) for Norwich, mostly coming off the bench. I don’t get the hate, never have. Strong, fast, powerful and only 24.

Courtney Baker-Richardson
🤣

Rule 1
You are not allowed to have an opinion if it doesn't match a select few.

Rule 2
If it's not working, you need to give it time.....and hope it works.

Jokes aside, I see a decent player in Idah. I didn't see it at first but it's certainly not as a no 9 and definitely not as a lone striker. Unfortunately the rumoured transfer fee(even it was less) is not helping him especially being a forward.
Our plan is to buy and sell as a profit with younger players. I think Idah will be a player that we won't even get our money back on and as for selling for a profit!
