As Smurph said, he's not playing because Vipotnik is playing and scoring at a level far exceeding his first season here.

There's no doubt in my mind that Idah was signed to be our main striker this season. A club like us doesn't spend as much as we did (wherever in the suggested fee paid it actually fell, it's certainly a few million at least) for a backup. If if wasn't for Vip's huge improvement, Idah would be the regular starter up top, despite the judgement of a few football experts on here that he can't play there.

Once Idah is fit, if Vipotnik is injured or sold, Idah will 100% take his place in the team. If he does so for a good run of games, we can then assess whether he's actually good enough or not, rather than make a ridiculous early judgement that is then clung on to despite how irrational that is.
I can't disagree with you that Idah was signed to be the main striker and that Vip's form has prevented that happening.

It's just my opinion and I will be most happy to be wrong, however I just don't see Idah being good enough, I base this on his previous at Norwich and what he has shown so far at Swansea.

I hope I'm wrong and I get served a huge piece of humble pie.

For the reported cost and wages we really need to wrong for the good of the club.

They would if it wasn’t true. You are basing your opinion on something you openly admit that you don’t know - which I can’t get my head around.

I'm basing it on the most reported figure, which is all we have to go on plus the circumstances. Celtic letting him go on deadline day with no replacement, they signed him for 10mill. The transfer was in the works for a while before it happened and we didn't move on. To me, this suggests that we made it worth Celtics while.

All the figures are different, and our CEO says they are wrong.

We have no idea what Celtic felt worth their while as they were in the market for his replacement (Dolberg?) and it fell through after.

£4m + £2m on promotion may be what it took for them to accept in order to get their Dolberg deal done.

The figure has potential to go to the reported fee I have no doubt but realistically we paid a smaller initial fee. He could cost us the reported amount but if we do then it would mean we have been successful as a club.
I had this argument regards the Mykolo and was told by someone that Transfermarkt was practically on the money regards transfer fee, I would imagine if I had the same conversation regards Idah that it would be completely different and Transfermarkt isn't as reliable.

The Idah fee will be similar to what happened with Mykolo. What we initially paid isn't what is being reported.

No clue what we paid for either of them. But I am very confident we didn’t pay what is often said on here in order to be the basis to bash him. We wouldn’t have the PSR room to pay such a fee.

My point is, nobody else knows either.

You’re wasting your time with these two, it’s probably best to stop replying. They’re experts in the field of knowing precisely fuck all, like the rest of us.

They just don’t like to admit it.
