Spot on with regards to every signing being a club signing.

The rate managers come and go these days, all signings have to be made with the blueprint of the club and the style of play the owners want their managers to adopt.

I have no doubt managers will make recommendations, they will have very little input to scouting networks etc.

Agree with that, Santos was a former teammate of Sheehan and Idah worked closely with O’Dea. Neither would probably be here if they weren’t the managerial team.

Stamenic however I see no connection with either. Very much in the mould of the signings that come from the club regardless of manager, young foreign boys with huge potential. Like Walta and Widell.

Every player will be wanted by the managers, we won’t sign anyone without the managers blessing.

But I’m saying the club would have sourced and sold the vision to Stamenic so he has no connection to Sheehan.

Idah on the other hand or players who are pushed by managers because they have an existing relationship with them will be more under threat of moving on.

So Stamenic isn’t in the same boat as someone like an Idah.

I believe the club would have sourced him as he has no connection to Sheehan or O’Dea.

Managers will have their input on the players who have been highlighted by the scouting team and Managers will also bring players to the table like Stamenic,Santos, Idah and Joel Ward(?) in recent times.
A club signing it is but the recommendations and pushing for that signing can come from various angles in the club but mainly from the scouting department originally.

The point being, we don't employ a manager at Swansea City. We employ a head coach.
Some clubs employ a manager and give him control like Emery at Villa but they're a dying breed.

Let's hope it gets over the line. Been reported club wasn't too happy about the leak. Maybe they requested it to be taken down? Either way, sounds like he might sign with us tomorrow. Heard it here first
