I can't see us allowing the deal to go through in time but if we're stupid enough to do that, then we need to play Liam Cullen as a #10 and tell him when we haven't got the ball you man mark Grimes, stop him getting the ball and piss him off all game.

You can accuse Liam of lacking many things but one thing you can't doubt is that he is a team player. He'll do it without question. Grimes isn't clever or smart enough to deal with that.

Sort of get what you're saying, but Franco probably won't find himself in the same area of the pitch that Grimes inhabits as much as a #10 does. Could try Franco as a #10 I suppose, that would be different. Might work?
