Cashless payments

That is scandalous behavior in the club shop.... £8 for a mug. Does that come with coffee refill

I totally agree with the club's stance on this one. No rethink is needed.

Hardly ever use cash nowadays but absolutely support anyone's right to use cash whenever they want, and if it costs the club a few more bob to process cash payments then so be it, just take the hit out of the contracts of our 5 to 15k a week professional footballers.
Just another example of my club sticking two fingers up at it's loyal supporters...

That’s ripping the piss, don’t buy it. I do the same now with Bisto in the shop. Leave it on the shelf guys.

Years ago the sugar people tried it on so the women (they used to do the shopping then) stopped buying it. Guess what happened.

We paid MK Dons over a million quid for a mug and stuck him in goals...

As you just posted, you hardly carry cash, which i would say is the same for the majority of people now. So then, why maintain two systems, which are have their own costs to run, when one system will work perfectly well. Progression, one fades out a new one takes it's place. Same for pretty much everything that get's replaced.

Which is fine if everyone has that option available

Which they don't. And for some, they never will (or want to)

As most experts will say we are quite some way away from being a cashless society and therefore, for me, choice is key. And the club will lose out as a result (IMO)

*And for the record the video is laughable

Not a great fan of being forced to use a card either, although I have discovered it has it's uses, especially if going out on the lash, like I went out last night, and I honestly could not hazard a guess as to how much I drank, upon looking at my banking app, it tells me I had 8 pints, which is quite confusing as I was absolutely hammered, could hardly walk, on 8 pints? Crickey I may have been spiked.

Anyone know the pillock?

Calling someone a pillock, for their views on using cash seems a tad shoddy, he has only highlighted what many are thinking.

And it's an interesting point, I was caught out down the new arena when I went to see Russel Howard, queued for ages at the bar, only to be told when I handed a £20 pound note, it was card only, and of course I didn't have my card on me.

I think, there should be a choice, card or cash, I know some people are very poor at managing their money, Example, Paul the swans fan going to the liberty, he is on a tight budget, would it not be better for him to take out the cash with him he can afford to spend? Especially if he is having a few drinks, 4 pints in and he feels like Mr Moneybags and spends way too much on his card.

There'll always be 'reasons' not to introduce something new. I come across it all the time in my line of work, hear every 'reason' under the sun, it'll normally be 'what about the older employees'. It was the same fairly recently when they switched the analogue tv signal off, same again, what about the elderly they haven't got digital TV's.

Always a reason not to move on, thankfully we push on. Keep moving forward.

For me, places having a cash only policy is much more of a pain in the ass than companies having a card only policy

Surprise, surprise ……

It’s possible to share his view whilst not sharing his attitude.

Surely his attitude is irrelevant? Dismantle all his swearing from the video, and I think he has a point, would his point be more valid if he spoke a little bit more eloquently for you?

I will say it again, calling someone a pillock for merely highlighting his views, is a tad shoddy. Seems like you want to tarnish him, yet he has done a good job, of highlighting the issue, many feel the same..

IMO it should be both options cash and card.
