Cashless payments

Surely his attitude is irrelevant? Dismantle all his swearing from the video, and I think he has a point, would his point be more valid if he spoke a little bit more eloquently for you?

I will say it again, calling someone a pillock for merely highlighting his views, is a tad shoddy. Seems like you want to tarnish him, yet he has done a good job, of highlighting the issue, many feel the same..

IMO it should be both options cash and card.

FFS, do you really want to do this now?

If it’s not one of you it’s another. You’ll be crying and whining and deleting posts later if you want to go down this road….. or you could just stfu.

Yes do it now please. I detect anger, a bit over the top if you ask me, I can only deduce you don't like being called out on your silly comments.

Er, I have replied, and yes I want to do this now. Come on why is the bloke a pillock? Because he swears? The bottom line from that video is, man pays cash instead of card, and that's it, all you are doing with calling him a pillock, is clouding the issue.

I think it's quite an interesting debate this, as I have said earlier, my only reason I think for having a choice, is people can manage their money better, like you leave the house, with cash you can afford to spend, card only will, I think lead to some people making impulse, rash purchases which they can ill afford.

Do what now?

I’ve already shared my thoughts, a few times in several threads about the subject.

What do you actually want?

And what happens when they freeze your bank account for stepping out of line, fucked then ain't you, don't think it'll happen, think again, it already has, Canadian truck drivers and Nigel farage to name a couple of examples. Baffling why so many want to rush towards handing over what little freedom's you have left and it ain't a lot.

I’ve already told you it’s possible to share his view without sharing his attitude.

Which bit do you need help with, or are you just trying to engage with me again?

You happy to call him a pillock to his face, is that why you are asking who he is?

You told me to STFU earlier, so I ask you why you said that, hmm and then you ask me what I want?

Shall i say it slowly, you called the fella a pillock, now it seems to me, once I have questioned why have you called him a pillock, you basically abused me, yet strangely still haven't answered the question, you think I'm having a go at you? Christ, I only asked you to explain why the man was called a pillock by you, I suggest pal, think before you post, if you don't like your comments coming under scrutiny. Oh yeah what do I actually want? Hmm how about never replying to any of my posts ever again.. Comprende?

As expected no answer, that's ok. I should have bloody wised up to your antics years ago, you may think I talk shi*, but at least I can say why I said a certain thing. What you have shown today, is pretty childish, an innocent question which you were stumped on, then leads to comments such as STFU, surely if you were in an adult mindset you would just reply, such as I think the chap in the video is a pillock for these reasons, not attacking me for pulling you up, when you make such ludicrous statements.

He won't do jack shi*e, he's already had a mare calling the person names.. It evidently stands out as nothing but virtue signalling, unfortunately for Mr Itch, he failed dramatically to read the room.

Like it's not a particularly hard question, why is he a pillock? It seem's that somewhat stumped MR ITCHY, That's ok, judging by his anger, I have a feeling he has some issues going on with his personal life.. If that is the case, I will lay off, are you ok Itch? is that the case? Spill the beans mush.

Just as a point of order, they didn’t freeze Farage’s bank account. They made the decision that he was no longer worth holding onto as a customer of Coutts when his mortgage was repaid and he fell below the stated minimum limits (which can obviously be ignored at the bank’s discretion) given the potential reputational risk of keeping him. They did offer him a standard bank account with the same bank, but that didn’t suit the self styled ‘man of the people’.

On the wider issue, I said when it happened that I disagree with the cashless decision as it may make things difficult for some people (largely older people who may not like using cards or kids who may have been given some cash and want to spend it at the club shop).

I think the bloke was unfair swearing at the club shop staff though as it’s not their fault and he could have made the same point without having a go at them. Although I thought the club statement made it out to be far worse than it was unless stuff happened before or after the video started.

By the way - why on Earth would anyone spend £8 on a mug?

Just a point of order. Coutts didn't close Farage's accounts because of lack of funds. That was incorrectly reported by Simon Jack of the BBC, and the BBC have since had to (slightly) correct the article. And they did offer him a personal account (with NatWest, not Coutts itself) but not a business account. Don't let the facts get in the way though. Either way, someone at Coutts could be in big trouble regarding GDPR.

FWIW I'm no supporter of Mr Farage, but I think the move to a cashless society is a slippery slope. If you can't use cash, what's the point of cash.

Mate you asked me as question and in the same post asked me not to reply, it was funny.

I’m trying not to reply, as per your request but then you keep asking me questions, what do you want me to do?
