• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A quick google search shows loads of Uk stadiums are now cash only, including Liverpool, Etihad, Wembley etc etc.

Cash is no longer king, it’s not even a prince these days.

Cash in hand jobs will become a thing of the past :?

Smuggled in baccy will be a thing of the past with a cashless society

Max, its the policy of Swansea City not to accept cash, it's thier right to do so, if you can't adhere to thier policy they won't serve you, rightly or otherwise.
If you ,me or anyone else doesn't like it then tough shìt us, all this is going to end up with security on the door, then you'll get people whinging thier being treated like criminals.

Time for a revolution Jaxx's :D

Got to be honest I can't remember the last time I actually used cash, its so easy to just use a card, but I don't want us to become a cashless society to many old values and traditions have and are disappearing. Just my opinion of course!

OMG, wow stop right there mush, why would you want another supporter banned just for making a video about cash/card?

I think I am done, wow I really can't believe this, like I said I don't know him, but I am ashamed of so called Swans supporters, actually targeting a fellow swans fan, Most of you can't even watch the video properly, before calling for his head. I'm fuc**ng tamping with the lot of you, to be honest.

The bit you need to remember is I suspect (don't know but strongly suspect) he had already been refused service beforehand and that is more than likely where any abuse happened. I don't believe this guy just randomly decided he was going to film himself in the club shop paying for a mug with cash. That is what I suspect drove the club statement but could be wrong

If you were self employed and I paid you for a job in 1p pieces, would this be acceptable to you?

I get your point of course, but that situation is hypothetical at best in reality.

On the other end of the scale, I got moaned at for paying someone with £50 notes a few years ago

Anyway I took the dog for a quick walk last night (just about dried out now) and found a fiver, pointless that was 🤣

I could have written this post word for word myself Max, have only used cash four or five times since covid for taxi fares but would always support the use of cash for anyone that prefers it, I don't condone the club shops policy in any way, but it's thier decision unfortunately.

Steady Phil, I posted on the old site a few years ago that I spotted a £2 coin on the floor whilst out walking the dog and couldn't be bothered to stop to pick it up, and got an absolute battering from the PS lynch mob for my troubles

Be alright mun they're made mostly of plastic these days, its enough for a pint

The simple answer is not to shop at the club what so ever, vote with your feet if you don't like their policies.

Yes, I tell you what Phil, I can't wait for the next video, if he gets refused entry to the stadium. I would imagine it would go something like this,

Here we fuc*ing go, just been refused to get into watch the fuc**ing football, they said I abused the fuc**ing staff, I didn't abuse the fuc**ing staff, I give them the fuc**ing money for the item, and walked out the fuc**ing shop.

That won't happen because he isn't a Swans fan.

His story is that he travelled down from Carmarthen to buy a gift for his kids teacher, who you'd have to guess is a Swans fan.
