Season 20/21: The Official Cardiff City v Swansea City Match Thread

Get in! Comfortable beyond belief. The boys in blue were absolutely abysmal and the boys in white controlled it from the first whistle. Thrilled for Lowe who has taken a few pelters, the second goal will do wonders for his confidence. Probably my MoM.

They were all brilliant. Grimes was excellent too, and the centre backs dealt with something we've struggled with before without breaking sweat. Connor right back to where we'd hoped and even Smith looked like a player. Thrilled. Need to pick the Mrs up at 4 so can't celebrate yet, but there's a bottle of wine with my name on it for later.

What a brilliant derby win. One of the best of the last few decades.

Personally, the most one-sided South Wales derby I've witnessed, Woodman won't have an easier game if he plays until he's a hundred.
Hope the yanks were watching that performance and back Cooper in January to get an out and out striker.

Utterly battered them.
I don't think anyone was below a 9 there, maybe Woodman but only because he had nothing to do! I had my doubts about the midfield today but that early goal allowed them to run the game and we never looked like conceding.
God there is no better feeling than this is there!?

They're flat track bullies. And sh*te ones at that - like a disorganised, poor man's Pulis team. I expected a lot more based on their recent results and all that wanging on before kick off about their success in playing hoofball to Moore over the last couple of months. Lower mid table at best on that showing.

I'll hold my hands up and didn't think Lowe could show that composure in front of goal. We still miss a centre forward; anyone attacking the 6 yard line today could have had a hatrick. But then if we had a centre forward we'd break up that partnership between Ayew and Lowe, who completely took the piss today.

Lowe the obvious man of the match, but Grimes was also immense today in controlling the midfield. Fulton put in a good display too.

I’m already passed the point of not being able to drive. Contemplating ordering a kebab

Just thought. Fans back by the return to see the first ever double. How sweet would that be.

Has Benny given us his thoughts yet?

I was the same about 20 mins in, oops.

I think a good gauge of our dominance today was the number of time Guehi and Bennet were mentioned by the comms in the second half, they barely got a mention because they weren't really involved very much, just did their job tidily when necessary until Cardiff gave them something to do 10 minutes later.

I missed the first half but the second was one of the easiest I have seen in a derby game

Ralls is as stupid as McPhail was all those years ago, why would you dive in having already been booked. If Moore is out for a while they will miss him as he is so key to the style that they play but thank f*** we don't have to watch that week in week out as they really are dreadful.

2nd place at least for a couple of hours.
