• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

But what exactly are people expecting? All this doom and gloom! If we'd have won/drawn v Hull the mood on this board would have been more positive/hopeful/forgiving maybe! If we get a LWB and a No10/striker and get Pato integrated back in the side I'd be happy with that. These 3 signings and on paper we'd have a decent enough squad to embed Russ' playing style ready for another busy window in the summer and a better crack at things next season. Its a jigsaw, building one piece at a time. Some of this board moan that 'its all square pegs in round holes' then moan when one by one these 'square pegs' are transferred or loaned out. We aren't going up, we aren't going down, ride it through this season and see where we are in the summer. IMO Russ will need 2 more windows to get the squad right, lets back him and 'enjoy' the journey.

.

Maybe effective, efficient winning football as a prerequisite. Which has been our baseline, the previous two terms.

Why on earth are some folk here so accepting of bland, pedestrian mediocrity ?

'Enjoy' this journey, where Martin said yonks ago he was sorting our defence before progressing to sorting our attack. And our defence is now the worst it has been, and our achilles heel by some margin. Wtf is enjoyable about losing and regressing ?

2 more windows ?

- many folk here are too gullible, too fickle and too easily duped to be proper fans.

If Russ is going to insist on playing the same shape, then LWB is an absolute priority today. Even if it just a loan until we can shop about in the Summer. Fingers crossed the Club does well today.

What's the situation with Bournemouth then? Just signing Keiffer Moore for £3.5m, Neco Williams expected, and that Dembele from Peterborough. How do they get away with this through FFP?

They’ve bought anyone who’s half decent at this level just to stop other teams from signing them 🤣 I agree though, crazy how they’re allowed to spend so much.

They’ve also been linked to Nat Phillips, Todd Cantwell and Woodman

How many players do they need?

If he goes hopefully we actually replace him but I don’t hold much hope

Cardiff signing Surridge on loan
At least when we play them we know Surridge will spend most of the time on the floor.
