• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I'm not convinced about Ward, however is there any possibility he could be coming and also getting involved in the coaching side of things alongside replacing Santos in the playing squad.
The coaches will be able to start a veterans teams with numbers soon 🙈

It’s hard to imagine a better fit for a high energy pressing game than a 36 year old player who hasn’t had a club for 6 months and played twice in the year before that!

The only possible reason I can see for bringing him in is to allow us to play three at the back. Even then I don’t see why we’d ever play him instead of Casey, but perhaps he’d be back up for that formation rather than Santos.

And that takes nothing away from his career. He was an excellent player for Palace.
I’m not sure high pressing game really affects a centre back though, if that’s where he’s playing?

I don’t agree with this. He wasn’t doing too badly before Williams had him marauding through midfield like Zinedine Zidane and one or two others coached the defender out of him.
Totally agree ,
Having Key & Tymon on the half line when Vigouroux had the ball leaving the 2 central defenders back .
Key & Tymon so far up leaving little space to Ronald & Eom to attack .
Thankfully when Sheehan took over he addressed the problem.

Come on he's had a bad 6 months but he's always been a steady championship RB before that.
not for me, he's had a shocker this season, was poor last season which at first I put down to Williams and his bizzare inverted fullbacks.

Just hasn't ever done it for me and I rate him as one of 2 worst signings since we were relegated (the other is Barrie Mckay)

We've signed hell of lot worse than Josh Key. He's a decent player going through a rough patch.

The fact that Luke Williams compared him to Gareth Bale says a lot about WIlliams.

I agree that WIlliams was terrible for Key, but I didn't think he was any good before Williams either.

I appreciate that we have signed lots worse than Key and I am being very harsh on him, but I just don't see a Championship calibre player in him.

For me he did pretty well in his first season with Duff as manager .
In the game against West Brom you could feel the East Stand was willing him to do well I'm sure that will help his confidence

Would love him to do well and it's not great to see his struggles, but for me it 's been too long a period of decline and we need a new RB.

The lack of competition at RB has probally contributed to his decline
