• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Isn't the club policy to buy, sell at a profit, develop, buy, sell at a profit,, develop ?
Yes thats the business model they have .
They also need to balance the quality of the team going forward .
I would keep Vp then sell him in the summer to bring in another 2 or 3 players , 1 defender plus 2 attackers.

Fully agree with the balance etc

If a big/good offer comes in I'm glad I'm not the one making the decision.
The fee could be at its highest?
Can we replace in limited time without the threat of relegation.

£1.5m Galbraith. £20m can go very far indeed
Absolutely it can, do we trust the recruitment team with 20m.

It's so difficult, we have more misses than hits when it comes to transfers (but I suppose that's normal at most clubs).

Look at the window when Vipotnik arrived not great as things stand the biggest outlay was Bianchini and this summer it was Idah and Inoussa.

Are we poor at big money signings or does the expectation changes the more that is spent.

Look at the current team Vip was free and Vig about 400k, Burgess also free we would be buggered without them. Yet 12m or thereabouts on Idah and Inoussa and now both injured and will they be missed !!

I think money has a big thing in these things rather than nightlife and shopping.
Most definitely. I would again argue that, after money, proximity to family/friends would generally likely come next. I don't think nightlife and shopping are that important to most footballers. And, as someone said earlier, if it is we don't want them anyways.
