Where would he fit?

You'd have to drop Fulton and rotate him and Gilmour, from what I've seen of Gilmour he looks top class.

I’m afraid he’d walk into our team or anyone else’s in this division, if it gives us more competition then all the better.

He's been linked to Rangers so being Scottish he'll probably jump at the chance going there.

His dad played for Celtic 76 times and was a member of their Boys Club before that. Could be an issue.

Morgan Whittaker is in talks with Swansea City over a permanent transfer, after Derby County accepted a £700,000 offer for the youngster.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under Phillip Cocu last season, featuring in 16 games for the Rams, and he generally impressed with his ability on the ball.

However, this season has been tougher for the youngster, as he has only played nine times in the Championship, with his last outing coming in mid-December.

And, it has now been reported by Telegraph journalist John Percy that the Swans have agreed a deal with the Rams for the England youth international.

“Couple of departures imminent at #dcfc, who have accepted a bid of around £700,000 from #Swansea for England u20 forward Morgan Whittaker.”

George Evans is also set to leave Pride Park, after Millwall had an offer accepted for the versatile 26-year-old.

Boss Wayne Rooney has made it clear that he expects a very busy end to the window for the East Midlands outfit, as he targets several new signings to strengthen the squad.

Derby beat Bristol City today, with Whittaker not involved, and the result moved them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Paul Arriola says his future lies in the hands of DC United and Swansea City amid speculation surrounding a potential loan move to the Liberty Stadium.

Arriola has been heavily linked with a move to south Wales this month, with Swansea's chief executive Julian Winter recently confirming that the player features on the club's wish list.

Despite talks being held between the Swans and DC United, no deal has been agreed between the clubs.

The 25-year-old is currently on international duty with the United States Men's National Team ahead of their clash with Trinidad & Tobago and was quizzed on a possible loan switch to Steve Cooper's side.

And when asked about the transfer speculation, Arriola - who can operate as a winger, a right-back or a right wing-back - said he will leave the situation in the hands of his agent and the clubs.

"The reality is, I don't have too much to share," he said.

Think we will see Arriola and Whittaker

Which is good considering how light we were on the bench. Shows with three injuries to players, only one who is a consistent in the team, hampers us badly

By all accounts another striker is a possibility... A no 9.

Whittaker is a deal that came up and due to his age and potential couldn't turn down. Deal is nowhere near 700k starting, rumoured to only be costing Swansea 150k to start with.

Do we really need another number 9? When we will have four for two positions? Whittaker would surely go on the bench

USA are playing at midnight tonight, so I guess the Ariolla deal will happen on deadline day.
