No doubt I will be disparaged as a clueless lefty, full of emotion and not seeing rational facts. When what I see are lies and twists of insidious racism and extreme right doctrine. The US election has shown how much people have been sucked in during the last decade. Sharing lies and half truths on Facebook. The classic one is paying immigrants thousands (untrue) whilst pensioners get a pittance. That in Germany pensions are bigger (without ever stating that there are greater compulsory contributions). It's this little nagging away that influences people. The dangerous rubbish around Covid (only 1% die is the classic- so 700K UK deaths is fine then!) shows this so clearly.
As for the media. In my dealings with them I have been impressed with how honestly they have reported what I have talked about. OK, this is science not politics, but all shades of the spectrum from the Times, Telegraph and Mail, BBC Radio 2, 4 and 5, ITV news, Sky News, New York Times, France 24 to many local radio stations have always been absolutely straight. Perhaps they are biased in our view when they are saying what we don't like, but beyond the acceptance that the three papers are pro-tory, there is a degree of honesty and integrity in most reporting. The BBC has a habit of benefiting the government in power, but are hardly like the state media in countries who seek to influence us through underhand and nefarious means. So, I am having a bit of a rant, but the likes of these right-wing propaganda channels are dangerous to democracy.

Not sure on how many of them will be pinged for perjury as they seem to do most of their testifying in hotel conference rooms while not being under oath but the drunk Karen’s performance the other day truly was a sight to behold. So how come there wasn’t any fraud in the states that trump won that use dominion? Seems like an oversight
