There’s quite a few DA’s looking at various aspects of his personal/business life and once he looses power he won’t be able to claim immunity, he’ll lose the ability to hire and fire people and potentially influence investigations. People he may have stepped on or hurt whilst in office may be looking at getting their own back, his recent behaviour and today’s events may have alienated floating voters and supporters. His businesses could be hit as potential customers shun his hotels, and he and family could become persona non grata.
The Republican reaction will be interesting. Will today’s events see the Party refocus tilting away from Trump and acquiescing (or even discreetly supporting) Biden led investigations in to alleged wrong doing so Trump can be ostracised once and for all or will they defend him. Once in the hot seat, Biden needs to debunk the election stuff properly and then move forward.
